Frequently Asked Questions
At Solstice Health, we know choosing the right healthcare model comes with questions—especially when it’s different from the traditional insurance system. Our FAQs are designed to give you clear, straightforward answers so you can feel confident about how Direct Primary Care works and what it means for your health.
What is Direct Primary Care (DPC) at Solstice Health?
Solstice Health offers Direct Primary Care (DPC) as a modern, membership-based alternative to traditional insurance-driven healthcare. Patients pay a low monthly fee for unlimited primary care services, which include routine visits, same-day sick appointments, chronic disease management, and wellness planning—all without co-pays or insurance billing. Our model puts the focus back on you and your doctor, not on red tape.
How much does membership cost?
Solstice Health’s Direct Primary Care membership pricing is:
- Ages 0–20: $39/month
- Ages 21–59: $59/month
- Ages 60+: $79/month
There is a 3-month minimum, and the monthly fee includes access to unlimited primary care visits with no additional visit charges. We also offer discounted family rates and special pricing for employers and small businesses.
What makes Solstice Health different from a traditional doctor’s office?
At Solstice Health, we limit the number of patients per provider to around 600 (vs. 2,000+ in traditional care). This allows for:
- Longer, unhurried visits
- 24/7 direct communication via phone/text
- Same-day appointments
- A personal relationship with your provider
- Access to in-house therapies like, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, IV nutrient therapy, and medical weight loss
This approach empowers our patients to feel better, longer—and live better, longer.
Do you accept insurance?
No. Solstice Health operates completely outside of insurance networks, which allows us to deliver transparent pricing, personalized care, and less bureaucracy. You’ll never receive a surprise bill or need to meet a deductible before receiving care.
Do you offer services beyond primary care?
Yes! Solstice Health specializes in integrative and functional medicine. DPC members have access to services like:
- Surgeries
- Medical Weight Loss (nutrition coaching)
- Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)
- IV Nutrient Therapy for hydration, immunity, fatigue, and more
- Therapies for joint pain and injuries
- IV Medication Infusions
These services are designed to support true healing, not just symptom relief.
What’s included in a Solstice Health DPC membership?
Solstice Health’s DPC membership includes:
- Unlimited visits with your provider
- Same-day or next-day appointments
- Annual physicals and preventive screenings
- Chronic disease management (e.g. diabetes, hypertension)
- Mental health support
- School, sports, and workplace physicals
- In-house labs, imaging coordination, and prescriptions at wholesale pricing
- Access to advanced therapies like IV hydration, HBOT and medical weight loss
Everything is designed to support whole-body wellness and long-term vitality.
Do I still need health insurance?
Solstice Health does not require insurance to become a member. However, we recommend pairing your DPC membership with a high-deductible plan or a medical cost-sharing program (like Sedera) to cover emergencies, hospitalizations, or specialty care. Our model gives you better everyday care while lowering your overall healthcare spending.
What lab work and imaging services are offered?
As a Solstice DPC member, you get access to deeply discounted labs and wholesale imaging services, often saving 80–90% compared to traditional rates. Common services include:
- Blood panels and hormone testing
- Thyroid and metabolic screening
- X-rays, ultrasounds, and MRIs coordinated at local centers
- Onsite blood draws and in-office testing when needed
Can I use my HSA or FSA for membership?
You can use HSA/FSA funds for certain qualified medical expenses such as labs, imaging, prescriptions, and some procedures. As of January 1, 2026, you can also use HSA funds for your DPC membership. We can provide itemized invoices to help with documentation.
